INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS: The State of Illinois will accept bids at its Auction subject to satisfactory arrangements for payment. Acceptable Forms of Payment include CASH, VISA, MASTERCARD, CASHIER‘S CHECKS, MONEY ORDERS OR TRAVELERS CHECKS in increments of $100.00 or less. Personal or Business Checks will not be accepted unless accompanied by the following:

FORMAL BANK LETTERS GUARANTEEING PAYMENT: These are letters from a Bank stating that the credit of a depositor is in good standing and that the Bank will guarantee his/her check up to a specific amount through 30 days after Date of Sale. These letters should also state that they cover the purchase price of State of Illinois property only. A sample of the bank letter of credit is located on the internet address listed below. ALL LETTERS OF CREDIT MUST BE APPROVED PRIOR TO THE SALE.

The State reserves the right to reject identification of a bidder, reject bids and any payment if it appears it may not be in the best interest of the State of Illinois.
